Visiting Navy Pier - Chicago

After lunch at Dylan's Candy Bar, we were off to the Navy Pier for a late afternoon walk. The pier has changed a lot since the last time I visited as a young adult, with lots of new restaurants, shops and attractions. The children had never been to the pier, and it was exciting for me to show them the iconic Chicago landmark.

The kids enjoyed taking pictures and looking at the beautiful boats and yachts along the pier. Next time we'll visit during the summer and take a sightseeing cruise, but because it was early spring it was too chilly for a cruise.

There are so many attractions and fun things to do at the pier, including visiting museums, theaters, art exhibits and more. There are also a number of places to eat, drink and be merry. The day we visited the pier was quiet, peaceful and not crowded. Since this was the kids' first visit, we just wanted to walk and enjoy the breeze and views of  beautiful Lake Michigan. I'll share some of the sights from our visit below.

The kids just loved taking pictures and making jokes about these giant Rolling Stones  tongues found around the pier.
