Preview: Rolling Smoke BBQ Las Vegas

I like to eat where the locals eat when I travel, as often as possible. Once while in Las Vegas a few years back, we asked our shuttle driver where he liked to eat and he asked if we liked barbecue. What? Of course! Who doesn't like barbecue? Ok, don't answer that...I do!

Well, that started our love affair with Rolling Smoke BBQ, 3185 S. Highland Dr., Las Vegas NV 89109.

It's located in a small unassuming little strip mall off the strip. Just a short taxi ride, but well worth the trip and extra effort. They describe their style as awesome Arkansas BBQ and I would have to agree.

We've visited often and have tried most of the menu items over the years, but I really can't say there's anything I didn't like.

What we ate this time:

The Pit Special 5 meats 3 sides
Including brisket, pulled pork, chicken quarter, two spare ribs, hot links and bread $27.99.
Look how huge this meal is, definitely sharable. For our sides, we enjoyed waffle fries, yams and green beans.

The staff is friendly and always helps us order just the right combinations, because we usually want to try different menu items each time we visit. It's a cool place to eat, with picnic table seating in the front as well as an additional seating area located in a back dinning room. We always end up meeting new people when we eat here because the food is a real conversation starter.

If you are in the Las Vegas area and you're looking for some good barbecue, check out Rolling Smoke BBQ. You won't go home hungry.

This is not a sponsored post, just my thoughts!
