Let me start by saying, I was in awe throughout the entire show. "How does he do that?".... is all I could say. He's still handsome too, very funny and quite charming. The show is described as an intimate evening of grand illusion and that's exactly what I experienced. Oprah Winfrey described him as, "The Greatest Illusionist of Our Time."
The venue, excuse me, the David Copperfield Theater is not equipped with row seats, but tables. We were seated at a rectangular table for five. There wasn't a bad seat in the house because Copperfield is dynamic, moving throughout the hall, interacting with the guest and eliciting audience participation throughout the show.
From the moment you enter the room, everyone is a part of the show. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just say it's an exciting, mystifying experience and if you like magicians and illusionist it's worth seeing this show. I would like to take my children to see Copperfield in the near future, but children under five are not permitted. For now they'll have to wait, but they would love it. It truly was a magical night.
I must share a special "Thank You" again, to my Madison,Wisconsin friends (you know who you are) who agreed to let me tag along with them to see the show at the last minute and went out of their way to make sure I could sit at their table. It was a great time and your kindness is greatly appreciated. See you guys next year.
