Review: Gratzi, Ann Arbor

Recently, my sweetie and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary!

Our neighbors were so very kind to babysit for us because we don't often get out without the kiddos, so it was a huge treat to have a much needed night on the town.

We had an amazing Italian dinner downtown at Gratzi, 326 S. Main St., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104.

I'd only been to Gratzi once before for lunch on my birthday a couple years ago (by the way, if you go to Gratzi with a friend on your birthday, you eat free), so it was a treat to go for dinner.

We had 6pm reservations and were quickly seated upstairs, which allowed us to take in all of the ambiance, sights and sounds from our perch.

The restaurant was quite dark and romantic, with each table lit by flickering candle light and only a few hanging pendant lights throughout.

The food was amazing and the service top notch. I have food allergies, so our meals took a little longer to prepare, but they were very careful and fulfilled my requests without hesitation.

Here's what we we enjoyed:

Antipasti
Crispy Ravioli, fried goat cheese filled ravioli, basil pesto, roasted red and yellow peppers.

Di Pere, honey roasted pears, toasted walnuts, prosciutto, romaine, pear and walnut vinaigrette.

Carne
Lamb Chops, grilled lamb chops, asparagus, broccolini, Valpolicella vin cotto, garlic mashed potatoes.

Bistecca, 16oz. hand cut ribeye, fingerling potatoes, broccolini, asparagus, brush of rosemary and lemon scented olive oil.

We savored and enjoyed every last bite and can't wait to indulge again soon!

This is not a sponsored post, just my thoughts!
