Review: Orioles Grille

After spending the afternoon sightseeing in Washington, DC we were quite tired and ready for a quick dinner at the Orioles Grill.

My family visited the Orioles Grille and Bar at the Baltimore Sheraton Inn Harbor hotel, 300 South Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.

I was surprised to see that the restaurant was empty except for two other patrons. That wasn't a good sign considering it was 6 p.m. and I was expecting a larger dinner crowd. Let's just say, we were having second thoughts, but decided to go for it.

The atmosphere was relaxed, a sports bar feel, featuring lots of Orioles memorabilia and televisions throughout.

To my surprise, the food turned out to be very good! We ordered fun food, like wings and pizza and enjoyed every bite.

What we ate:

Starter
Wings your way  $12.5
13 wings tossed in your choice of Buffalo, Caribbean Jerk, Garlic Sriracha or Old Bay with celery blue cheese or ranch

Our wings were hot, crispy and delicious and we enjoyed them with a little ranch dressing on the side. My children liked them so much, they grabbed them before I could get a picture.

Salads
Crab Cake Salad $13
Four petite crab cakes, heirloom tomato and roasted corn with Wasaabi remoulade

This was a tasty salad and I really enjoyed the mix of flavors. There weren't many greens in this salad, but the roasted corn and tomatoes were great with each bite of crab cake. I would definitely order this dish again.

Entree
Hand Pressed Pizza
Traditional - half pepperoni and half cheese, blended with mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano and white cheddar

I usually prefer thick crust pizza, but this thin crust pie was excellent! The cheese mix  was really good, I love great quality cheese and I can usually taste the difference if the quality isn't there. Also, the pepperoni were flavorful, but not too spicy for the kids.

Closers
Cheesecake with fresh berries and raspberry sauce

The kids wanted to try the cheese cake and they didn't have to work too hard to have their way. I love cheese cake, and the real whipped cream and strawberries were a crowd pleaser!

The Orioles Grille was a great choice, we enjoyed our food and it was conveniently located inside our hotel. It was nice to hang out and have dinner with the kids before getting ready for bed. We will definitely return next time we're in Baltimore.

This is not a sponsored post, just my thoughts!
