Baltimore, Maryland 911 Memorial

Last week we had the opportunity to visit the Baltimore 911 Memorial while exploring the Baltimore, Maryland Inner Harbor area.

The memorial was inspired by an artifact from New York’s World Trade Center – three 22-foot-long twisted and torn steel columns from the Twin Towers. It's always sad to see memorials such as this, but good to remember the people who lost their lives on that tragic day.

It's cool that my kids can read now, because they had lots of questions and we really had a great conversation about 911 and the effect it had on our country. It was a great 3D visual history lesson for the kids. A must see if you are in the area.

Come back tomorrow and I'll give you the play-by-play of our dinner at Founding Farmers, a farm to table restaurant known for it's delicious chicken and waffles. I'll also share more details from our Maryland and DC trip.
