Visiting Toronto's CN Tower

After spending the afternoon at the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada we headed next door to the CN Tower for our next Toronto CityPASS.

With our city passes we were able to skip the long line and head to a shorter CityPASS exclusive line. With these passes you can explore two observation levels, one at 1,136 ft. and the second at the Glass Floor and outdoor SkyTerrace level at 1,122 ft. The ascent to the lookout deck was quite exhilarating for me as we flew up the tower in 58 seconds in a glass-fronted elevator while admiring the stunning Toronto views. On the contrary, the glass elevator wasn't as much fun for my 4-year-old, who was frightened for the duration of the ride, so keep that in mind if you have small children.

It was very busy on the day we visited the CN Tower, but it was worth the wait. The panoramic view is magnificent at night when the city is illuminated. You can see the Rodger's Center, where the Blue Jays play directly below and stunning views of Ontario. We avoided long lines at the entrance by choosing to visit later in the day around 9 p.m. The lines to go down the elevator from the observation decks were long and confusing, so be patient as you await your decent. Also, wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking and standing during the tour and no place to sit and take a break.

The CN Tower is a civil engineering marvel at 181 stories, 1,815 feet, 5 inches tall and holds the Guinness World Record for the "World's Tallest Building" and in 1995 it was classified as one the seven wonders of the modern world by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

The World Famous Glass Floor

Visiting the CN Tower was a highlight of our trip and I'm so glad we had a chance to visit one of the Wonders of the World. I guess we can cross that off our bucket list. Next time, I would like to have dinner at the revolving 360 Restaurant.
