One of the coolest places we visited with our Toronto CityPASS was the Ontario Science Centre. It was a great experience for our entire family with interactive science shows, hands-on experiments and mind blowing demonstrations.
One unique feature at the science center was the way the floors were arranged. It's built on a ravine, so the higher the floor level number the further down you go. So, while you enter on the first floor, you go down to get to the third floor. This made getting to the correct floor and adventure, but there were literally fun activities around each corner, so we didn't care.
Steam Labs:
The Steam Lab was a great exhibit that allowed our kids to enjoy using their creativity and imaginations. On this particular day the Steam Lab project included sheets of laser printed wooden creature pieces; which could be popped out, put together and decorated.
Forest Lane:
Science Arcade:
My oldest daughter's favorite part was probably the Science Arcade located on the six level. The kids were all over the place, excitedly rushing from one activity to the next. They enjoyed trying all kinds of different hands-on experiments that made science fun.
I highly recommend this place. My family had a great time reading and learning at Canada 150: Discovery Way. Our children loved making crafts at the Steam Lab and learning about alternative energy sources and chemistry at the Energy Show. It definitely kept their attention for hours and kept us moving nonstop. We were quite impressed by the Ontario Science Centre, and we'll return in the future to explore the Don River Ravine and outside exhibits.
