Preview: Rolling Smoke BBQ Las Vegas

I like to eat where the locals eat when I travel, as often as possible. Once while in Las Vegas a few years back, we asked our shuttle driver where he liked to eat and he asked if we liked barbecue. What? Of course! Who doesn't like barbecue? Ok, don't answer that...I do!

Well, that started our love affair with Rolling Smoke BBQ, 3185 S. Highland Dr., Las Vegas NV 89109.

Review: Red 8 at Wynn Las Vegas

I've enjoyed meals at Red 8, located inside the Wynn Las Vegas, during every visit to Las Vegas for the last 11 years! That's how much my husband and I love the food there. Located at Wynn Las Vegas, 3131 S. Las Vegas, NV 89109.

The restaurant offers Asian cuisine from China, Thailand, Vietnam and Korea including Hong Kong-style barbecue, dim sum and Cantonese noodles.

Review: Carlo's Bakery (Cake Boss)

My children and I love to watch Cake Boss on TLC, so I told my husband we had to try Carlo's Bake Shop, located in the Grand Canal Shoppes, 3325 S Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89109.
We had the opportunity do it this summer, after a night watching Loni Love at the Venetian in Las Vegas.

Review: Lipshtick Presents Loni Love

My husband surprised me with tickets to see Lipshtick presents comedienne Loni Love at The Venetian in Las Vegas. Lipshtick is Las Vegas' first all-female comedy series. Love is an actress, comedienne and talk show host, on FOX daytime talk show The Real.

Review: Hash House a Go Go Las Vegas

During our eight days in Las Vegas this July, we visited Hash House a Go Go at the
The LINQ!

It's open 24 hours, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hash House describes it's style as twisted farm food. The menu offers lots of fresh farm to table favorites and the portions are huge.

Review: Lotus of Siam Thai Restaurant

Lotus of Siam Thai Restaurant has become one of our favorite places to eat in Las Vegas! There is always a wait, so that lets you know it's good. If possible, make reservations ahead of time, but if you have to wait, it's well worth it.
The restaurant is located off the strip at 953 E. Sahara Ave. A5, Nevada, NV 89104.

Las Vegas: Recap of the Samsung NBA Summer League 2016

Check out an in depth evaluation of the 2016 NBA Summer League

The NBA Summer Leagues are meant to allow incoming rookies, very young veterans, and aspiring free agents to showcase their skills at a professional level. Thus, the Summer Leagues act as the first showcase for the young players that will be the future of the league. There are three main leagues, one in Utah, one in Orlando, and one in Las Vegas. But the Vegas league is by-far the biggest of the three, with more teams and players than the other two leagues combined.

National Zoo

There are so many things to do in Washington, DC it's really hard to fit it all in!

We were short on time, but didn't want to miss an opportunity to visit the Smithsonian National Zoological Park; which offers free admission 365 days a year.
