Review: Cottage Inn Ann Arbor, Kids Eat Free on Mondays!

This weekend, my husband was memorized by all the pizza commercials on television and talked about how good it looked all day. I got the hint but talked him out of ordering a pizza on Sunday, convincing him we should hold out until Monday and go to Cottage Inn.

I'm not a huge pizza person, but I remembered really liking Cottage Inn pizza and, to make it even sweeter, Kids Eat Free on Mondays. Win, win!

We visited The Original Cottage Inn, 512 E. William Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

This location is downtown, which means you'll have to find street metered parking or a nearby parking garage. We were fortunate to find parking directly across the street and it was after 6 p.m., so parking was free.

The restaurant wasn't very busy and we were seated immediately. The place is beautifully decorated and my children loved the painted sky on the ceiling near where we were seated, Caesars Palace Las Vegas-esque.

The ambiance was very calm and relaxed and the service was fast, which is awesome when you have three hungry children.

The children were given a coloring menu and crayons, loved that! With kids eat free Monday's, one child eats free per paying adult, up to 2 children. Our older two children chose pita pizzas and lemonade from the kids menu, regularly $5.25 each.

We ordered The Best of Cottage Inn, a specialty deep dish pizza that includes pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, Parmesan, brick, mozzarella, cheese with olive oil and herbs, $17.99. We got a full tray for an additional $2. We also added the cranberry pecan salad, $4.99.

We really enjoyed our food, it was great! The olive oil and herbs on the deep dish crust was quite finger licking good! The kids even dipped the crust in extra olive oil, which I was against until they encouraged me to try it. I think we will frequent Cottage Inn, this summer because everyone eat well, enjoyed their meals and nobody complained once. This rarely happens!

All told, before tip we spent around $26 after the kids meals came off the bill. That was very good for our family of five because we don't usually get out for less than $50 when we eat out!

This is not a sponsored post, just my thoughts!
